Update January 22, 2019
Here is my 10 year Christmas card update!

A lot has happened since our last reunion.  Both of our kids have graduated college and are working in their chosen fields and somehow or another Beth has keep me around for another 10 years. We moved in 2014 to shorten our commute and how lucky was that move.  Our old house flooded in Harvey but our new house stayed dry.

Anthony graduated LSU in May of 2014 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace, moved to Baltimore with a Defense Contractor.  He received a Master's Degree from John's Hopkins in Computer Science and now lives in Colorado.

Leigh Ann graduated Stephen F Austin in Decemebr 2015 with her teaching degree and she is teaching in Fort Bend County not too far from where she grew up.  It also looks like wedding bells my be in her future but no date set just yet.

Beth went through breast cancer in 2016. Thanks to the many prayer groups who helped her get through this horrible event.  Her clown of a husband did what he could to help keep things positive and funny at the same time. Beth  has moved on from that stage and is now determined more than ever to stay in shape and live life to the fullest.

As for me, I'm still in road construction but I changed jobs in May of 2017, and have enjoyed the new challenge.  It's a younger and smaller company in the Houston area with a good growth potential.

What have I been doing?

I married Beth in 1985 and after living in Colorado and Michigan, we have finally settled down in Katy, Texas.  We have been there for 18 years.  I have worked for a local contractor for the last 13 years and I am currently Vice President and Chief Estimator.  We specialize in concrete road paving.  And yes, I do get aggrevated with those damn road contractors because of poor traffic control.

We have 2 great kids.  Anthony 19 is in his 2nd semister at LSU, He is studying Mechanical Engineering.   Leigh Ann 18 is a headed to Stephen F. Austin.  She is going to study Elementary Education.

I still enjoy fishing and golf.  After the reunion, I plan to do more of both.   It has been an absolute blast helping put the 30 year reunion together.  I have searched long and hard and I have managed to find a few people that I have not talked to in almost 30 years.  Hope everyone likes the website.  Mary Sanders Wunstel and I have enjoyed being co-webmasters.  Mary scanned in all of the "Then" pictures and posted them as classmates signed in.  I think she has done a wonderful job.  Thanks Mary

Hi!
Sorry to miss the reunion. I’m hosting a baby shower for my first
grandchild (son) due in May. We are so excited!
I no longer broker seismic data but am a surgery volunteer at MD Anderson.
It is rewarding and fulfilling but I hope to NOT see you there

January 2019 Update
The past ten years has gone by so quickly.  Karen and I are happy living in Prairieville.  I am a senior project engineer for Almatis Burnside, LA.  My international travel is over.  There are too many wonderful places in the US that we have not seen.  We regularly travel to Orlando, FL, Oak Ridge, TN, and Port Clinton, OH.  Karen has retired from her engineering practice I am looking forward to hanging it up five years from now.  We are still waiting on grandchildren.

One of the things I have been able to take up again is rifle competition.  I had to put it down while raising a family and building a career.  Now that our children are on their own, I have been able to compete in state, regional, and national matches.  Our classmate Glen Padgett is also active in rifle competition.  We have shot some very good scores together.

Karen and I are active at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and direct one of the ministries of marriage preparation.  Our specialty is the ministry of marriage preparation for divorced and or widowed couples.  We call it marriage recycled.  This ministry is so satisfying and quite fun at times, the way marriage ought to be.

The Broadmoor HS tour should bring back memories.  By the way, do you remember those awful car-crash films we had to watch in driver’s ed?  They are all on YouTube.  Check‘em out.  Yeah, those were the days.

I was saddened to learn of Pagiel Czoka’s passing.  I knew her best during our time at Broadmoor Junior High.  She was so very nice, extremely smart, and now dearly missed.  I wish the very best for all of her family and friends.

2009
The past ten years has gone by quickly.  I haven’t changed one bit.  Well, I’m not as skinny as I used to be and my hair is turning white.  That’s OK, I can live with that.  It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.  I acquired professional registration on both industrial and mechanical engineering.  I’m an engineer all the time but I know how to some fun with it.  During this time I have traveled all over the country and half way around the world ten times.  I spent three years in Iraq with the US State Department providing engineering support for Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I have a lot of stories to tell and 2000 digital pictures.  A slow day in Baghdad can be more exciting than a fast night in Baton Rouge.  Trust me.  The Arabs were able to tell which of us were from Texas and Louisiana.  We carried the biggest knives.  One thing I learned from international travel is how great America is.  America is far above whatever country is second best.

When I returned from Iraq I finished renovating my home.  Then I sold it and got married, again.  I married the lovely Karen Leblanc.  She is also a LSU engineer.  She understands me.  Together we have four fine sons.  Two are in collage, one is in the Navy and the youngest is a senior in high school.  We have put together a new home in Prairieville.  Life has been good for us.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you again.

Ahoy, mateys, and many thanks to Mark Harrell, Meredith Eicher, my brother David, and several other Buccaneers for their not-so-gentle reminders to register for our 30th reunion. We're all looking forward to being together this Fall! Send Dana a MessageSend Dana a Message

Ossining NY USA Married 2

Thanks to all who've taken the initiative to get our reunion and this website off the ground.

At LSU I met a girl from New York and eventually moved north with her. Pia and I have been married almost 30 years and have two sons who are engineering majors at Penn State. I attended law school in NY and work as an attorney. We live in a suburb of NYC, but still fly the LSU flag for every game. We visit Dana and the rest of our family in BR at least twice a year. Gotta get our fix of home cooking!

I walked the Broadmoor campus last trip and it really brought back fond memories. Can't wait for the reunion!
